Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Track and follow up on open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, pricing, and delivery schedules
  • Support production scheduling by updating and maintaining system data
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in ERP systems (e.g., orders, vendor information, inventory levels)
  • Assist with expediting materials to prevent production delays
  • File and maintain purchasing and supply chain documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams (production, quality, customer service) to support operations
  • Generate basic reports related to purchasing, inventory, and supplier performance
  • Purchase Order (PO) Management: Generate, track, and process purchase orders in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm order receipt, negotiate pricing on routine buys, and expedite deliveries to prevent stockouts.
  • Inventory & Demand Alignment: Monitor stock levels and assist with data analysis to help determine appropriate reorder quantities.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve discrepancies with invoices, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments by coordinating directly with suppliers and accounts payable
  • Research & Sourcing: Compile supplier quotes, and assist senior team members in evaluating and onboarding new vendors.

Required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one (1) year of experience in supply chain, purchasing, buyer or administrative support (manufacturing preferred)
  • Basic understanding of supply chain processes (purchasing, inventory, logistics)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing.

Desired

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
