Project Manager - Creative Production
Pritt Entertainment Group
Project Management + Client Services | Video, Animation and Live Events
Full-Time | In Office | Downtown Akron, Ohio
About Pritt Entertainment Group
Pritt Entertainment Group is a creative production company specializing in video, animation and live events.
Our team partners with professional and collegiate sports organizations, brands, agencies and other organizations to create custom content and experiences designed to captivate audiences. Our work includes everything from sports intro videos, graphics packages and animations, to commercials and branded content, as well as live-event productions.
PEG is a small, collaborative company where every team member has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. We take pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining a casual, creative and enjoyable environment.
About the Position
PEG is looking for a Project Manager to guide creative projects from initial discovery through final delivery.
This is a hybrid project management and client services position. You will serve as the primary connection between our clients and production team, helping ensure that expectations are understood, communication is clear, responsibilities are organized and projects remain on schedule and within scope.
The right person will be equally comfortable building a friendly, professional relationship with a client and managing the details required to move a complex project forward. You should enjoy working with people, creating organization, anticipating needs, solving problems and helping a creative team do its best work.
You do not need to be a video editor, animator or technical production expert. You do need to be curious about the creative process, capable of learning how our work is produced, the equipment and software we use, and comfortable communicating with both clients and creative professionals.
What You'll Do
- Manage multiple video, animation and live-event projects from discovery and quoting through production, revisions, approval and final delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, creating a responsive, organized and professional experience.
- Maintain a clear understanding of each project’s objectives, scope, schedule, deliverables, responsibilities and next steps.
- Establish project milestones, deadlines, assignments and communication plans.
- Lead project discovery calls and help develop project approaches, proposals, estimates, scopes of work and schedules.
- Lead internal project-launch meetings and ensure the production team has the information needed to begin and complete its work successfully.
- Translate client feedback, requests and decisions into clear internal communication and actionable assignments.
- Coordinate video shoots, live-event productions, meetings, travel and other project logistics.
- Provide clients with regular updates and follow up on outstanding feedback, approvals, materials, proposals and invoices.
- Identify potential timeline, scope, budget or communication concerns early and work with company leadership to determine next steps.
- Maintain accurate project and client information within Asana, HubSpot, Harvest, Slack, Google Workspace and other company systems.
- Build relationships with current and past clients, better understand their needs and identify potential future opportunities.
- Lead project review meetings and help turn lessons learned into improvements to PEG’s processes and client experience.
What We're Looking For
We believe the right person for this position will be:
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Friendly, personable and comfortable working with many different personalities.
- A clear and professional written and verbal communicator.
- Proactive about identifying what needs to happen next rather than waiting for every task to be assigned.
- Comfortable balancing multiple active projects, deadlines and competing priorities.
- Able to remain calm, flexible and solutions-focused when plans change.
- Confident enough to ask questions, clarify expectations and respectfully hold people accountable.
- Capable of seeing both the larger goal of a project and the individual details required to accomplish it.
- Interested in both the creative side of our work and the organization that makes the creative process possible.
- Receptive to feedback and comfortable communicating directly with company leadership.
- Excited by the hands-on and collaborative nature of working for a small business.
Experience
Previous experience in project management, account management, client services, marketing, media production, events, agency work or another deadline-driven environment is preferred.
However, we know that the right person may not have followed a traditional project management career path. We are open to candidates from different industries and professional backgrounds who can demonstrate strong communication, organization, judgment, project ownership and the ability to coordinate work involving multiple people and deadlines.
We care about relevant experience, but we are not hiring based on résumé keywords or job titles alone. Team fit, communication style, attitude, judgment and the ability to grow into the position will be significant parts of our decision.
Experience with Asana, HubSpot, Harvest, or similar project management, CRM and time-tracking platforms is helpful but not required.
The ability to travel occasionally for shoots, events, meetings and other project needs is required.
What To Know About The Role
PEG works with a varied mix of sports organizations, brands, agencies and other clients. One project may involve professional or collegiate sports, while the next may be a commercial, corporate video, product animation or live event. Candidates should be interested in creative production broadly rather than exclusively one type of client or project.
This is both a project and people position. It is ideal for someone who enjoys managing schedules and details behind the scenes, while also building client relationships.
This is a full-time, in-office position, based at our office in downtown Akron, Ohio. Because the role works closely with our in-house production team, it is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.
Most weeks follow standard 9-5 business hours. However, creative production is not always perfectly predictable. Occasional travel, shoots, live events, deadlines or communication with clients in other time zones may require some availability outside normal office hours.
Professional growth in this position may include managing larger and more complex projects, developing deeper client relationships, taking greater ownership of company processes, mentoring future team members, or growing into a more senior or specialized project or account management role.
Why Work At PEG?
- Work on distinctive video, animation and live-event projects for unique clients and partners.
- Become meaningfully involved in projects rather than being limited to one small portion of a larger process.
- Collaborate directly with our experienced, in-house team of creative and production professionals.
- Work in a casual, collaborative environment where your contributions have a visible impact.
- Unlimited vacation.
- Medical, dental, vision and long-term disability insurance benefits.
- Employer-matching 401(k) retirement plan.
- Paid parental leave.
- Casual dress code.
- Office snacks, coffee, and beverages.
- Opportunities for occasional travel and to be involved in unique productions and events.
