The Good Dog Rescue is helping Bella’s owners find her a new home as a courtesy. Here is what her owners have to say about her.
Bella is a beautiful and extremely smart Border Collie Lab mix. She is 7 and a half years old. She loves learning new tricks. She currently can sit on command, play dead, jump over objects, shake your hand, give a high five, and do a figure eight between your legs. She”s very polite! She only goes on furniture when invited. She is leash trained and will not react to barking dogs . . . she’s very patient! She also takes treats gently! She loves lounging around the house but does appreciate a walk a day. She’s a very loyal dog. She loves to be near her loved ones and has never run off.
Bella is quite shy, however. She does like other dogs but it can take her time to get used to new friends. This is the same for her trusted humans. Bella will be your best companion, but she can take a while to get used to new people and can be nervous with visitors. Bella needs a patient home without children. While she has been an excellent member of our family since she was six months old, Bella has not adjusted well since we had children. Bella does great with consistency and a calm environment, but the hustle and bustle of a two-child home, nanny’s, and lots of visiting friends has unfortunately become a bad environment for her.
In a somewhat quiet home with a single person or a couple, she will thrive. Bella is also in great physical health!
