Position Summary

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced R&D environment to help develop, validate, and scale electrocatalysts for Voya’s proprietary metal-air fuel cell.

Responsibilities

  • Develop improved metal alloys to improve the power and minimize corrosion for Voya’s metal-air fuel cells.
  • Identify structure-property relationships and translate to improved anode chemistry designs.
  • Design analytical tests and methods to identify mechanisms to feed understanding back into the anode experimental designs.
  • Work with Voya’s engineering and production teams to scale and demonstrate new electrolytes from lab to pilot and production-intent systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to invent and advance novel chemistries from concept to validation, preferably in energy storage/generation applications.
  • Experience with the development of anodes/cathodes for electrochemical systems (e.g. fuel cells, batteries, electrolyzers).
  • Experience with metals corrosion chemistry is a plus.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense urgency.

Compensation Range: $130K - $175K
