Stage3 Agency, a dynamic communication agency based in LA, is seeking Los Angeles-based contract/freelance directors for ongoing project-based work. We are looking for storytellers who can bring a cinematic quality to the screen and who are comfortable transitioning between tight documentary shoots and larger commercial sets. We have a structured pay scale based on crew size, offering $1,500 per day for small crews, $2,250 for mid-size crews, and $3,000+ for full-scale commercial crews. Directors will be engaged on a freelance/project basis, with an immediate opening offering $1,500 per episode and a total flat rate of $6,000 for four episodes.

Requirements

• Develop treatments, shot lists, and visual concepts with the creative team.
• Direct crew, actors, and real-life documentary subjects on set.
• Maintain high visual standards across productions.
• Partner with producers and editors through to the final cut.
• Be reliable, self-directed, and able to meet aggressive deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Must be based in the Los Angeles area.
• A strong director’s reel showcasing visual craft, lighting, and narrative drive.
• Proven experience directing both commercial spots and non-fiction/lifestyle content.
