Graduate Nurse

The Fitch unit is a 45-bed acute care medical unit specializing in sepsis, respiratory, diabetes, GI, oncology, end-of-life care, and some surgical patients. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will deliver care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. You will create a therapeutic and caring environment, involve patients and families in goal setting and care planning, and communicate the plan of care to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts. You will embrace change to support optimal patient outcomes, utilize current evidence and national specialty standards to guide practice, and demonstrate competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills. The unit provides an outstanding supportive environment with advanced training, a charge RN and team lead focused on making it the best place to give and receive care, and a relaxation room for staff to decompress.
