Process weekly payroll for union construction employees in a fast-paced environment
Administer multiple collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and union wage classifications
Calculate and process union dues, fringe benefits, pension, health & welfare, apprenticeship, and other fund contributions
Prepare and submit union remittance reports accurately and on schedule
Manage certified payroll reporting and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements
Review timesheets, job classifications, wage rates, and labor allocations for accuracy
Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, reporting, and month-end activities
Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and union payroll regulations

Preferred Qualifications For The Union Payroll Specialist Role

3+ years of payroll experience within the construction industry
Hands-on experience processing union payroll and interpreting collective bargaining agreements
Knowledge of prevailing wage regulations, certified payroll, and fringe benefit calculations
Experience preparing union remittance reports and managing benefit fund contributions
Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements
Experience with construction payroll/accounting software such as Viewpoint, Foundation, Spectrum, CMiC, ADP, or similar systems
Advanced attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Strong Excel and payroll reporting experience preferred

$68,000 – $78,000 annually
