Job Summary: The Parking Attendant is responsible for supervising all garage and surface lot activities related to parking in the hospital environment.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities

  • Calculates parking rates accurately in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Ensures amounts of payments received and cash disbursed are accurate and properly accounted for.
  • Records and assigns validation accounts to departments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Exercises courtesy and tact when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Conducts regular site inspections to identify conditions requiring attention, including housekeeping and safety hazards.
  • Responds immediately to spills to maintain a safe environment.
  • Clears stairwells and other areas where debris accumulates to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Drives a service truck or utility vehicle throughout the campus to support parking operations.
  • Disperses and collects barricades and traffic cones to manage parking flow and ensure safety.
  • Performs routine maintenance on parking equipment and gates to ensure proper functionality.
