Paper Machine Mechanic

Qualifications

Knowledge & Training:

• Committed to safety & organizational goals
• Solid safety performance (no safety violations/incidents within the previous 12 months)
• Completion of required mill & safety training
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must pass the applicable employment tests
• STM Assessment (mechanical aptitude at the maintenance level)
• Must pass the interview process

Experience & Skill

• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience
• Journey man status preferred
• 2-year technical degree or 5 years industrial work experience in relevant mechanical field.
• Must be computer literate
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
• Employee in good standing (no corrective actions, written reprimand or above, currently on record)
• Professional communication skills
• Computer literate

Ability & Fitness

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for continuous periods of time
• Ability to work rotating 12 hr shifts, OT & weekends/holidays
• Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy & high volume machine production area
• Ability and willingness to work safely & wear PPE as required
• Must be meeting current Attendance expectations
