Orthopedic Physical Therapist

Role: The Physical Therapist provides medically prescribed physical therapy to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disability, and evaluate patients following injury or illness.
Responsibilities include: Planning and conducting therapy programs using exercise, manual therapy, heat, water, light, and electrical modalities; performing diagnostic and functional tests; guiding active and passive exercises; utilizing equipment like ultrasound and diathermy; treating wounds; instructing patients in the use of mobility aids and postural techniques; documenting patient progress; supervising support staff; and participating in training medical personnel and students.
Qualifications: Requires a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) post-2015, with a minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
Certifications & Licenses: Must be a licensed Physical Therapist, with required certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and appropriate licensure. Additional certifications such as Pelvic Health are preferred.
Skills & Key Duties: Strong knowledge of therapy techniques, equipment operation, patient evaluation, and documentation standards. Ability to instruct patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
