Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Residential HVAC Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for an HVAC professional who understands residential systems, can accurately calculate project costs, and is confident presenting estimates while guiding customers toward the right solutions.

The Estimator will manage the process from initial lead through project handoff. Responsibilities include visiting residential properties, assessing project needs, preparing accurate estimates, presenting recommendations, following up on leads, and providing detailed job information to installation technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Site Visits: Evaluate residential HVAC project needs
  • Cost Calculation: Labor, equipment, materials, and overall project costs
  • Estimate Preparation: Deliver professional proposals for installations and replacements
  • Customer Presentation: Clearly explain options and recommendations
  • Lead Follow-up: Maintain communication with prospective customers
  • Project Documentation: Provide detailed information for installation teams
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with office staff, technicians, and leadership
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current on equipment, products, and standards

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years of HVAC estimating experience
  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC equipment and installation practices
  • Ability to calculate job costs accurately
  • Experience preparing and presenting estimates to customers
  • Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate detailed project requirements to technicians
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Bryant residential HVAC equipment
  • Previous residential HVAC sales or comfort advisor experience
  • Strong knowledge of residential replacement and installation projects

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • Typical hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Additional hours may be required during peak seasons

Work Location & Travel

  • Reports to the main office in Owensboro, KY
  • Daily travel to residential estimating appointments within the service area
  • Company truck and gas card provided
