Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Visual Merchandising Associate to create visually engaging store displays, interior layouts, merchandising presentations, and balanced audio-visual elements. Working under Visual Leadership, this role applies creative merchandising skills to enhance the shopping experience, support product sell-through, and contribute to store sales and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement visual merchandising strategies that support sales volume and financial objectives.

• Execute visually appealing and well-balanced store displays under the direction of Visual Leadership.

• Coordinate showroom layouts for furniture, lighting, accessories, and seasonal merchandise transitions.

• Regularly remerchandise displays, signage, point-of-sale materials, and selected store areas to maximize product sell-through.

• Execute floor moves and other merchandising changes according to layout plans and product priorities.

• Communicate regularly with Visual Management regarding sold merchandise and merchandising requirements.

• Complete store recovery processes throughout the day and maintain the appearance of interior and exterior areas.

• Coordinate repair and maintenance needs for lighting, fixtures, paint, flooring, and related store elements with store management.

• Check in and unpackage accessory merchandise and other product shipments in collaboration with warehouse personnel.

• Coordinate product tagging, preparation, and showroom placement.

• Participate in the bi-annual inventory process.

• Follow visual merchandising standards, guidelines, and communications provided by Visual Leadership.

• Ensure audio-visual elements and merchandising details comply with established communication standards.

• Involve store associates in ongoing visual maintenance activities.

• Maintain strong knowledge of products, promotions, and store functions while keeping current with relevant styles and trends.

• Mentor store staff on merchandising fundamentals and communicate visual merchandising standards.

• Coordinate with the store manager regarding regular duties, visual requirements, incoming products, and point-of-sale materials.

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Ability to regularly lift objects over 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to transport loads of up to 100 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Two years of experience in retail visual merchandising preferred, ideally in a home furnishings environment.

• Associate degree in interior design, merchandising, or equivalent work experience preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Reliable attendance.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Strong visual merchandising and presentation skills.

• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.

• Ability to understand and execute layout plans and merchandising standards.

• Creative approach to product presentation and customer experience.
