Job Summary
Oversee repairs and improvements of occupied and vacant homes, along with the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Job Duties (include But Are Not Limited To)
- Complete maintenance tickets in a timely manner
- Perform lawn care, including mowing, edging, and spraying for weeds
- Apply plumbing knowledge, including water and sewer connections/lines
- Maintain knowledge of general maintenance protocol
- Repair and rehab mobile homes
- Paint and perform light electrical work
- Complete general park cleanup
- Operate a personal or company vehicle to pick up supplies or handle offsite company business
- Report regularly to supervisor
- Take and respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed
- Devote working time, attention, knowledge, and skills to the company's business interests, in good faith and with best efforts, to the satisfaction of the employer
- Perform other duties customarily associated with similar positions, or as assigned from time to time
- Understand that management reserves the right to revise this position description as necessary
Physical Demands and Working Conditions/Environment
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work 5 days per week, Monday–Friday, plus on-call as needed
- Work up to 8+ hours a day, with occasional longer days to address emergencies
- Climb, kneel, crouch, bend, crawl, push, pull, and lift up to 50+ lbs with assistance
- Operate machinery such as mowers, weedeaters, other lawn care equipment, backhoes, and similarly sized machines, plus other equipment needed to repair and refurbish mobile homes
- Work outside and walk across communities in various weather conditions, for extended periods, including up and down stairs and up ladders
- Use a company app on a personal phone to complete maintenance tickets, and may receive text messages or calls from the company (a $25 bi-weekly phone stipend is provided for personal phone use)
