Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and organized

Underwriting Operations Technician to join a team . This role is integral to supporting our underwriting team by processing policies, endorsements, and quotes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $40,000 - $58,000 annually
• Comprehensive benefits package

Responsibilities

• Process policies, endorsements, and quotes to support the underwriting team.
• Review applications and policy change requests for accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize internal systems and rating tools to rate new and renewal business.
• Calculate premiums for new business, endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans.
• Assist underwriters with quotes, renewals, and policy modifications.
• Apply ISO, NCCI, and related manuals for rating and policy interpretation.
• Maintain proficiency in company systems and underwriting tools.
• Communicate with underwriting staff to resolve questions or discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of policy transactions.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Prior experience in commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO and NCCI guidelines/regulations is a plus.
• Experience with insurance rating and policy systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret policy language effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
