We’re looking for an energetic, competitive, and relationship-driven New Business Development Representative to help introduce more education leaders to Parsec. You’ll connect with prospective partners by phone, email, social media, conferences, and in-person events building genuine relationships and creating opportunities for our sales team.
Think of it as opening doors that can help change the trajectory of schools and the students they serve.
What You’ll Do
Start Meaningful Conversations
- Identify and connect with prospective school districts, charter schools, and education leaders.
- Conduct thoughtful outreach through phone calls, personalized emails, social media, networking, and industry events.
- Clearly communicate Parsec’s value and spark interest in how our solutions can support educators and students.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Build Genuine Relationships
- Learn about each prospective partner’s goals, challenges, priorities, budget, and decision-making process.
- Establish rapport quickly and create trusted relationships with education leaders.
- Qualify prospective partners and coordinate seamless introductions to the sales team.
- Represent Parsec professionally and authentically at conferences, meetings, meals, and other in-person events.
Help Drive Our Growth
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop and execute effective outreach strategies.
- Share insights from prospective partners to help strengthen our messaging, campaigns, and product offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach, conversations, and opportunities in our CRM.
- Work toward and aim to exceed individual and team sales goals.
- Stay informed about K–12 education, EdTech trends, and the needs of the communities we serve.

What You’ll Bring
- At least one year of experience in business development, sales, lead generation, or another relevant customer-facing role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The confidence to initiate conversations, ask thoughtful questions, and explain value clearly.
- Strong research, organization, and time-management skills.
- Experience using CRM software or the ability to learn new sales tools quickly.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, education technology, or a related field or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Compensation
This position offers a base salary of $40,000–$72,000, plus a target commission opportunity of $14,400, for total on-target earnings of $54,400–$86,400.
Compensation is based on several factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The hiring manager will share additional information about the applicable salary range during the interview process.
