Ultrasound Technologist who is dedicated to supporting accessible, high-quality diagnostic services in a professional clinical environment.

Role Overview

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including general and vascular studies, as ordered by clinicians. The technologist will be responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic images while following established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including general and vascular studies, according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare, position, and communicate with patients throughout examinations.
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Accurately document procedures and relevant information in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinical staff to support efficient patient care.
• Explain examination procedures to patients and address questions in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment issues as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and other operational tasks related to imaging services.
• Follow applicable clinical, regulatory, safety, and practice guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all patient interactions.

Required Qualifications

• Formal education and training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a related accredited program.
• Applicable professional credentials such as ARDMS and/or ARRT with relevant sonography or radiology credentials.
• Demonstrated clinical experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
• Strong knowledge of general and vascular ultrasound techniques.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment safely and acquire accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prior experience in an outpatient, medical practice, or clinical healthcare setting.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and patients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to follow established protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound studies in an outpatient setting.
• Additional relevant ARDMS or ARRT specialty credentials.
• Experience with vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and clinical documentation systems.
• Experience assisting with scheduling, equipment checks, or other imaging department operations.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and regulatory requirements in an outpatient healthcare environment.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with the broader clinical team.
