This leader will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Content, Delivery, Operations, and external training partners to create scalable training offerings, support customer opportunities, equip sales teams to position training solutions, and ensure Pearson delivers a consistent, high-quality experience for enterprise clients and learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a cross-functional Instructor-Led Training team, including Training Architects, Operations Managers, and Schedulers.
  • Define the enterprise training strategy, operating model, governance, tools, and processes required to scale Pearson’s live training business.
  • Ensure Training Architects effectively partner with clients to understand learning needs, participant profiles, timelines, content requirements, and delivery expectations.
  • Oversee operational handoffs, instructor scheduling, external trainer coordination, class readiness, delivery logistics, and post-training follow-through.
  • Manage team utilization, capacity planning, workload balance, staffing needs, and delivery priorities aligned to customer demand and revenue expectations.
  • Review existing training offerings, identify new opportunities, and package training solutions that Sales and Customer Success can confidently position with enterprise clients.
  • Equip Sales and Go-to-Market teams with training offering details, qualification guidance, positioning, delivery assumptions, and customer value messaging.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, learner feedback, instructor performance, delivery risks, operational metrics, and repeat business opportunities.
  • Serve as an escalation point for strategic customer issues, delivery risks, scheduling challenges, instructor concerns, and cross-functional alignment needs.
  • Use data and reporting to improve utilization, delivery quality, customer experience, revenue contribution, and scalability.
  • Build repeatable playbooks, templates, dashboards, and best practices that support consistent, high-quality enterprise training delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience leading training, learning services, professional services, customer delivery, or training operations functions in an enterprise business environment.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams responsible for solution design, operations, scheduling, customer delivery, and business performance.
  • Strong knowledge of instructor-led training or virtual instructor-led training operations, including solution design, instructor coordination, learner readiness, scheduling, logistics, materials, and delivery quality.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise clients to understand business needs, define training requirements, align stakeholders, and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Experience designing Learning plans that may include live training in conjunction with other forms of learning.
  • Proven ability to manage utilization, capacity planning, performance metrics, operational priorities, and revenue-related expectations.
  • Experience creating or scaling training offerings, service portfolios, delivery models, playbooks, dashboards, tools, or operating processes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Content, Product, Finance, Delivery, and external partners.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, including the ability to present strategy, risks, performance insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and customer contacts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise learning, workforce skilling, technology training, education technology, professional certification, or customer-facing learning services.
  • Experience with training areas such as AI skills, cybersecurity, and power skills.
  • Experience managing distributed or global teams across multiple time zones and regions.
  • Experience working with external instructors, training vendors, authorized training partners, or contract trainer networks.
  • Experience enabling sales teams, supporting go-to-market planning, or creating customer-facing training offering collateral.
  • Experience contributing to proposals, statements of work, pricing inputs, utilization targets, revenue growth, margin considerations, or business cases.
  • Familiarity with training platforms, learning management systems, scheduling tools, CRM systems, reporting dashboards, or resource management systems.

What Success Looks Like

  • A clear enterprise training strategy and operating model are adopted across the team.
  • Team utilization, workload balance, delivery readiness, and instructor coverage are visible and actively managed.
  • Training offerings are clearly packaged and easier for Sales and Customer Success teams to position with customers.
  • Enterprise clients experience consistent, high-quality instructor-led training delivery.
  • Customer satisfaction, learner feedback, operational quality, and repeat engagement opportunities improve over time.
