Industrial Estimator

Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator for its Industrial team! The Industrial Estimator provides leadership and support to the company’s Industrial estimating department throughout the United States, with an emphasis on special projects installation. This role acts as a key company representative and works in conjunction with the Industrial Sales Engineer to provide cost-effective and efficient estimates for opportunities with new and existing clients, helping generate a steady, lucrative workflow for the Industrial Refrigeration Department.

A Day In The Life

• Interact face-to-face with clients to conceptualize and coordinate solutions to their challenges, communicating effective solutions at both a high-level and technical level.
• Coordinate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to provide relevant conceptual information so detailed scopes of work can be documented and executed.
• Communicate pipeline activities regularly to help maintain a steady workload and encourage departmental growth as opportunities are identified.
• Provide timely communication within the department and across organizational lines.

You Should Have

• Knowledge of industrial processes, principles, and practices related to industrial process piping construction project estimation.
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least seven years of experience working for a refrigeration contractor on industrial systems design, or at least ten years of experience in piping estimating.
• General proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple estimates, balance competing priorities, and remain highly organized while multitasking.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
