HVAC Quality Technician

Position Overview

Safe Air Technology is seeking a Quality Technician to support our manufacturing and field service operations. This position performs in-process and final inspections, testing, and quality documentation to help ensure our products meet company, industry, safety, compliance, and performance standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on quality inspection experience, a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components, and excellent attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of HVAC systems, electrical assemblies, sheet metal components, and mechanical parts in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and quality plans to determine inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Use inspection and testing equipment, including calipers, micrometers, multimeters, and gauges, to verify product compliance.
  • Accurately document inspection results using company quality software, spreadsheets, databases, and other reporting tools.
  • Identify and document quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts with Engineering and Production.
  • Assist with the calibration, maintenance, and control of quality inspection and testing equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality processes, product consistency, and overall manufacturing performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of quality inspection, quality control, or technician experience in a manufacturing environment; HVAC, electrical, or mechanical equipment experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and other technical documentation.
  • Experience using standard inspection tools, measuring equipment, and electrical test equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn specialized quality software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality concerns.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability for occasional overtime based on production and project needs.
