A well-established Charlotte accounting firm is seeking a CPA to join its team in a tax-focused role. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with some tax experience who is looking to deepen their expertise, take on meaningful client work, and grow within a close-knit, collaborative firm environment.

Candidates with lighter tax experience or a broader corporate accounting background will also be considered for the right fit.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual and business tax returns.
  • Assist with corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
  • Review financial information and supporting documents.
  • Assist with tax planning and research.
  • Work directly with clients to gather needed information.
  • Assist with accounting and financial reporting as needed.
  • Manage multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Maintain organized workpapers and client records.

Requirements

  • Active CPA license required.
  • 2+ years of accounting or tax experience preferred.
  • Some tax experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • UltraTax experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Candidates with a corporate accounting background and interest in tax are encouraged to apply.
