About the Role: The Sanitation Worker/Porter is responsible for the washing/rinsing and disinfecting of all pots, pans, and utensils soiled by the kitchen staff and volunteers. The sanitation worker is also responsible for taking out all trash and recycling on a daily basis. The sanitation worker is also responsible for the daily cleaning of the upstairs and downstairs restrooms.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Embodies Eva’s Village’s core values, voice and tone in order to provide an exceptional and effective experience for our clients, funders, employees and volunteers
- Washes, rinses and sanitizes all pots, pans and utensils soiled by the kitchen staff and volunteers.
- Cleans, sanitizes, removes trash and mops the upstairs and downstairs restrooms daily.
- Sweeps, mops and vacuums the common hallway by the upstairs rest rooms daily.
- Breaks down and removes all cardboard to recycling piles daily.
- Takes out all plastic and glass recycling to the storage barrels in the garage. Places barrels to the curb on Thursdays and Sundays. Rinses and cleans said barrels after they are picked up by the city.
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Delivers lunch and dinner to the houses on Saturdays and Sundays.
What You'll Bring

oHigh School diploma or equivalent
oTwo years’ food service or comparable experience
oIntermittent sitting and standing throughout shifts.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for this position is $16.00.
