About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented

Commercial Chain Link Fence Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial fencing projects. The role involves reviewing construction drawings, calculating material and labor costs, obtaining supplier pricing, and preparing bids while maintaining project profitability.

Main Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications for commercial fencing projects.
• Prepare detailed estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
• Perform material takeoffs and calculate project quantities and costs.
• Obtain and negotiate pricing with suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare and review project bids, proposals, and contracts.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to clarify project scope.
• Track estimated costs, project budgets, and profitability.
• Support project scheduling, procurement, and resource planning.

Main Requirements

• Experience in commercial construction estimating, preferably in fencing or related trades.
• Knowledge of commercial chain link fencing materials, installation, and costs.
• Strong blueprint reading, material takeoff, and cost estimation skills.
• Experience with HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, or similar estimating software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong supplier negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of construction budgets, contracts, and cost control.
• Commercial construction site experience is a plus.

Key screening requirement: Prioritize candidates with hands-on commercial fencing estimating experience, particularly chain link fencing, including material takeoffs, blueprint interpretation, labor and material pricing, and bid preparation.
