HVAC Installer

We is seeking both apprentice & journeymen HVAC installers who can complete commercial installations with minimal supervision. Candidates must have strong installation skills, take pride in their work, and follow jobsite safety requirements.

Requirements

Ductwork Installation

• Lay out and install spiral and square ductwork, fittings, transitions, elbows, and offsets.
• Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork accurately.
• Install hangers, supports, and attachments according to project requirements.
• Seal duct joints and connections.
• Install duct wrap with properly sealed seams and vapor barriers.
• Install grilles, registers, diffusers, dampers, and flexible duct connections.
• Maintain proper alignment, elevations, clearances, and access for service.

Equipment and Curb Installation

• Lay out, assemble, level, and secure rooftop curbs.
• Set and secure rooftop units, air handlers, exhaust fans, and other HVAC equipment.
• Verify equipment orientation, duct connections, and service clearances before setting.
• Coordinate equipment placement with the foreman and lifting crew.

Refrigerant Line Sets

• Measure, route, support, and install refrigerant piping.
• Cut, clean, fit, and braze copper piping using nitrogen purging.
• Install piping insulation and protect it from damage.
• Perform pressure testing, leak checks, and evacuation when assigned.
• Maintain clean piping and follow equipment manufacturer requirements.

Condensate Drains

• Install condensate drain piping with proper slope and support.
• Install traps, cleanouts, and vents as required.
• Route drains to approved discharge locations.
• Test drainage and correct leaks or flow issues.

Plan Reading and Jobsite Coordination

• Read mechanical drawings, details, and equipment installation instructions.
• Identify duct sizes, equipment locations, piping routes, and installation elevations.
• Plan installation tasks and identify material needs before starting work.
• Recognize conflicts with other trades and communicate them to the foreman.
• Follow project specifications and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.

Tools, Safety, and Work Expectations

• Must have a complete set of HVAC installation hand tools.
• Safely use power tools, ladders, and lifts within training and authorization.
• Follow PPE, fall protection, and hot work requirements.
• Be dependable, arrive on time, and maintain a clean work area.
• Work effectively with foremen, other installers, and apprentices.
• Inspect completed work and correct deficiencies before inspection.
