About Our Client
A full-service general contracting firm located in Kansas City. They focus primarily on commercial, retail, entertainment, hospitality, and healthcare projects up to $30M in value. The company prides itself on its family atmosphere and has established a fantastic company culture for all employees. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent for a local Kansas City project, but then open to Midwest travel after.
Job Description
- Oversee daily construction site activities and maintain progress against project plans.
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and site schedules to keep work moving.
- Review completed work and address site issues that affect quality or timing.
- Monitor jobsite conditions and promote safe work practices throughout each phase of construction.
- Communicate project updates, priorities, and schedule needs with relevant project contacts.
- Track site progress and identify practical actions to keep construction activities on course.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and site access needed for planned work.

The Successful Applicant
A Successful Superintendent Should Have
- Superintendent for local Kansas City project. Once local project is completed, must be open to Midwest travel.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, is preferred but not required
- 5+ years of field experience as a Superintendent
- Experience with commercial projects is required, with a preference for retail and restaurant projects
- A proven track record in managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
- The ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges effectively.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
- A focus on delivering high-quality results while staying on schedule.
