Cook's Helper

Fairhaven is seeking a dependable and friendly Cooks helper to support our kitchen team. This role helps keep our kitchen running smoothly while creating a positive experience for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks with meal preparation.
• Deliver meals to residents in Harbor East.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Keep the kitchen, storage areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Follow sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
• Interact respectfully and positively with residents and coworkers.
• Use kitchen equipment and supplies safely.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual.
• Friendly and able to communicate effectively in English.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.

Work Environment

• Kitchen and dining areas.
• Exposure to hot equipment, steam, and food preparation activities.
• Typical healthcare environment serving older adults.

Full-Time

• 37.5 hours per week / $15.30 - $16.00hr
• 6:00AM - 2:00PM
• Weekdays and weekends
