ER nurses learn to quickly triage patients based on immediate observation and acute assessment skills, then to treat symptoms in order of life-threatening priority About this unit: • 13-bed full service Adult & Pediatric ER • Teamwork is the core of how we operate • Engagement of Leadership – Everyone on the team is motivated and patient focused • Patient safety and satisfaction are our number one priority Responsibilities: • The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery and management of patient care. S/he utilizes the nursing process, the healthcare environment, and current technology to provide a climate which optimizes patient care and staff development Hours: Fulltime Nights • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing • Current Louisiana or Compact RN license required • Current BLS • ACLS and PALS Certification required within 6 months of employment • CPI and TNCC required within 120 days of hire • Emergency Services RN experience required For more than 50 years, Tulane Lakeside Hospital for Women and Children has provided the knowledge, expertise and specialized care vital to the healthcare needs of women and their babies in Jefferson Parish.
