ATA Services, Inc., is seeking a part-time database manager t to work for Hawaii's Department of Health. Please review details listed below:

Hourly rate: $26.25
Hours: 25 hours a week
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Electronic data processing system analysis, systems design, development, implementation, and maintenance for all computer platforms within the CCBHC
- Provide Electronic Health Record (EHR) training to new and existing providers at the Maui County Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)
- Provide consultation in the use and benefit of information technology for a given application or functional area and project management skills to ensure defined tasks are completed as scheduled within estimated cost with sufficient resources
- Design report formats and screen displays
- Develop systems specifications based on business and design requirements
- Supervises and participates in preparation of system documentation, operational, and user procedure manuals
- Determines that data utilization, storage, and communications needs and requirements are met
- Leads and participates in program coding and development activities to ensure that programming is consistent with design specifications and good practices
Recommended Qualifications:
Education: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in information science, business administration, accounting, mathematics, or related field
Experience: Two to four years of professional IT work experience in office systems and procedures, data processing, feasibility studies, programming, and/or systems development
- Strong relational databases (e.g. Access) skill; scanner and scanning programs; Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong Electronic Health Record experience. Preferably with Netsmart’s “MyAvatar” EHR system.
Supervisory Relationships: The incumbent is expected to plan the work assignments in order to accomplish desired results and work independently on all areas of duties and responsibilities, to take the initiative to seek assistance when needed, and is expected to inform the supervisor when unforeseen events or circumstances may require significant changes. Supervisor reviews only those work assignments which the incumbent indicates are exceptional and/or unique.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Analyze and design data capture strategies and methods
- Write relational database queries and specifications for data reports and enhancements
- Interpersonal skills to work with MIS staff and end users
- Operate a variety of office equipment
