Position Details:

This non-exempt position is scheduled for 188 days per school year, 8 hours per day. This is a grant-funded position and funding is available through May 2028. The position will work with Bosse, Lincoln, Lodge, GLA, Evans, and Delaware schools. The position follows the Board of Trustees approved school calendar for holidays.



Hourly Wage: $36,400

Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use any of the three EVSC Health & Wellness Centers. The health clinics provide primary care services, generic prescription medications, physicals, health screenings, and labs; all at NO COST to the employee or covered family member

EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.

This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.

Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.

EVSC offers a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It is a confidential, voluntary service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees and their family members with personal, job or family-related matters.


SUMMARY:

Work with families entering the educational pipeline to overcome barriers impacting student success.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Case manage at risk or high risk students and families.
  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention services.
  • Assess family needs to help determine the most appropriate service plan.
  • Link families to resources and advocate to positively impact student success.
  • Provide support to English as a New Language (ENL) students and families
  • Maintain data and records as required for compliance / reporting.
  • Use data to drive decisions, planning, delivering and evaluating programs.
  • Build relationships with community partners that can support students / families transitioning into or within EVSC.
  • Collaborate with EVSC Comprehensive Counseling Team to provide referrals to school and community resources.
  • Support Site Councils at Full Service Community Schools.
  • Serve as a liaison between schools, families and community partners.
  • Maintain regular attendance.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school degree or GED required. Experience in the area of social work, education or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Multilingual experience preferred.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, teachers, school board members, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to prepare, project, monitor and document funds from multiple sources.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
