• Interviews customers, reviews and completes all forms required for successful entry into the program
• Follows up on all no shows and reschedules their appointments
• Conducts group orientations
• Guides members to available online service options
• Trains members on various literacy topics of interest
• Teaches basic Microsoft Software courses
• Administers quarterly entrance examinations to individuals to demonstrate progression
• Contacts potential members provided by outreach staff
• Performs Job Readiness Training components on a weekly basis



Bachelor’s degree required. One to two years in workforce development or related field preferred.

- Strong project management skills, including managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines

- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Internet Research, and social media.

- Outcome driven, strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform programmatic decisions.

- Highly motivated, with proven capacity to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in high-paced entrepreneurial environment.

- Flexible, with availability to work a weeknight and occasional Saturdays.



GENERAL SUMMARY
The Adult-Education Navigator will act as a support for adults in the Wisconsin Works (W-2) Program who need to complete their High School Diploma (HSD) or equivalency degree. They will work directly with adults to assess and navigate the proper HSD or equivalent, and collaborate with local educational resources. 
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Meet one on one with W-2 adults to review HSD/GED/HSED eligibility requirements, assist with obtaining and reviewing high school transcripts, and educate them on HSD or equivalent options to determine which is the best fit
•    Develop plans for completion of education options and set goals for afterward, including administering and ensuring completion of TABE assessments
•    Assist adults with registering for GED/HSED informational and orientation sessions and the cost of GED/HSED testing by coordinating payment vouchers
•    Conduct bi-weekly check-ins with adults to gauge progress and identify appropriate support if needed
•    Identify and connect with local literacy and tutoring resources to establish a referral system
•    Conduct meetings with partners to discuss strengths and challenges of HSD/GED/HSED programs and activities
•    Continuously seek out services or resources to improve adult education processes
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Community College and/or Vocational School Degree with study in job related area or equal experience.

Strong communication skills.

At least 2 year’s experience working as an instructional aide or an equivalent title. Additional education can substitute.

Good experience working in an office environment and performing office duties.

Basic math skills.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel 15-20%. Must have valid Driver’s License, Auto Insurance, and must meet company driving standards.
