Position Summary:

This is a 30 hour per week position with full benefits. The Cashier will perform a variety of tasks related to supporting the operation of the TPC Cash and Carry store in Davenport, IA. In this position you will:

• Assist customers at cash register in a timely manner.
• Interact with customers and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner in order to ensure customers' and vendors' questions are answered accurately and purchases are made in a timely manner.
• Process charges to employee accounts.
• Help customers out to their car with their purchases.
• Retrieve grocery carts outside to bring inside.
• Calculate cash drawer and perform cashier accountability report at end of each shift.
• Count and deposit cash on a daily basis.
• Answer incoming telephone calls promptly.
• Assist with store inventory.
• Stock shelves as needed, and assist "facing" the store when necessary.
• Help collect items for party packs during graduations and weddings.
• Assist with meat and cheese trays on occasion.
• Clean facilities, as required.
• Attend meetings and complete training as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Available to work any of the available shifts: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

• Ability to perform basic math operations.

• Great customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior customer service, retail or grocery store experience.
