Function Statement
Ohio State’s Department of Public Safety is hiring a Campus Events Financial Coordinator to join the Central Campus Security Services team and oversee the fiscal operations. This position oversees the financial and accounting operations of the unit including the following fiscal services: financial systems, reporting and internal controls, policies, and regulations. Develops and maintains the unit budget system and budgetary policies. Supports the unit in budget preparation, forecasting, identifying, and implementing strategic initiatives. Oversees the general ledger, the preparation of unit financial reports, and performs financial analysis. Responsible for the recording of revenue and accounts receivable including billing customers and processing payments, record keeping, responding to customer inquiries related to account status, and the aging and write-off of receivables. Organizes internal audit responses. Manages personnel requisition for Special Duty staff. Perform roles and responsibilities associated with Campus Events Planning Coordinator in a standby capacity.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Minimum Experience
Timekeeping experience desired. Experience in accounting/billing processes required. Knowledge of university human resource and fiscal policies and procedures desired. Workday, Smartsheet, InTime and MS Office Suite desired. Familiarity with police or public safety operations and staffing desired.
The targeted hiring range for this position is $53,800- $71,700 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
