Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service for our cutting-edge solar technology projects. As a Project Manager, you'll oversee the seamless execution of solar power plant projects across the United States. Your responsibilities will include meticulous planning, efficient execution, and ensuring project delivery within strict timelines and contractual parameters. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, production, and quality control, you'll ensure that our customers receive top-notch service and products. This role offers high visibility and influence within the company, occasionally requiring flexibility with evening and weekend hours.
Key Job Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for utility solar installations.
Develop and implement project management plans in line with contract specifications.
Liaise with various departments including sales, engineering, logistics, supply chain, and quality control throughout project lifecycles.
Define project objectives and oversee project progression.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks.
Handle project change orders effectively.
Ensure alignment between contracts, purchase orders, sales orders, and invoices.
Investigate and resolve customer issues promptly.
Provide expert advice and support to customers on system-related matters.
Maintain accurate and timely reports on work status and correspondence.
Coordinate site commissioning schedules.
Contribute to the development of customer service standards, policies, and procedures.
Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Ensure proper functioning of tools and equipment.
Conduct site visits to uphold company product and service standards.
Foster and maintain strong working relationships with customers.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project/construction management, with a focus on:
Bills of materials
Routing
Work instructions
Change orders
Construction management systems
In-field troubleshooting
Minimum of two years of experience leading project initiatives and systems implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
Strong interpersonal skills, including confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy.
Proven leadership abilities, capable of motivating and inspiring team members.
Experience in team development and mentorship.
Background in solar construction, heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural, or related fields.
Familiarity with ERP systems, Salesforce, and SAP.
Previous experience managing multi-million-dollar projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
PMP certification is a plus.
