Position Title: Driver

Type: Full Time - Non-Exempt Hourly

We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a Driver. ECS Drivers transport equipment and materials between shop locations and job locations and between job locations and job locations. The candidate must demonstrate safe work habits, be able to follow directions and work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform pre and post-trip inspections.
• Keep equipment clean and presentable.
• Help maintain fleet compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Verify paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
• Great customer service skills.
• Operating a large commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
• Promote professionalism and excellent customer service attitude.
• Comply with all Company and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies, rules, practices, and guidelines.
• Maintain proper DOT logging, to include accurate and current drivers log reporting; drivers logs turned in daily; accurate mileage and fuel reporting; and complying with all hours of service regulations.
  
  

Education & Requirements

• Must have 1+ years of CDL-A experience.
• Must have active Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement at time of hiring.
• May be required to drive manual transmission trucks dependent on available equipment.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situation (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Demonstrate the ability to work well with others, and work independently when required.
• Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crawling, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Will talk and hear to communicate.
• Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
• May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
• Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crawling, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
• Day or night shift may be a required availability.
