As a Procurement Specialist reporting to the Director of Global MTO Category Procurement, you will be trusted to participate in developing and implementing project plans in alignment with category procurement strategies. This role will focus on providing insights into spend data, tracking raw material market trends, following up on project implementation, and contributing to the development of category procurement strategies. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Enabling the procurement of goods and services in the quantity and timing needed at the lowest total cost of ownership.
• Establishing and reporting appropriate KPIs to measure and manage the pipeline of category procurement projects.
• Facilitating and following up on the execution of supply agreements.
• Driving the implementation of sophisticated analytics techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, machine learning) to uncover hidden trends and opportunities.
• Coordinating the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track KPIs and provide actionable insights for various collaborators.
• Monitoring raw material price market movement.
  
  

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management-related experience
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Tableau, and SAP a plus
