Thea Enterprises, LLC is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist with our bookkeeping functions in our Clifton, New Jersey Office. Job Responsibilities

The Bookkeeper will work together with the accounting group and Controller to provide support to the daily operations of the office. The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing and coordinating accounts payable, accounts receivable and bookkeeping functions.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Prepare and oversee customer invoicing and assist with overdue account collections.
  • Input and payment of vendor invoices.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and provide reports as requested.
  • Compile data and create spreadsheets as needed.
  • Post cash receipts and deposit checks.
  • Maintain personnel records and ensure record keeping compliance.
  • Responsible for the review and submittal of Bi-weekly payroll through Paychex.
  • Responsible for inputting requested PTO Basic understanding of accounting; Journal entries, intercompany reconciliation, balance sheet, income and expense account understanding.

Qualifications

  • Quick Books experience a plus
  • Excel experience a plus
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated competency with handling confidential matters.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle time-sensitive matters
  • Experience with using technology to help with work responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Excellent organization and mathematical skills
  • Familiarity with Windows-based computer programs a must
