Summary

The Lead Electronics Technician plays a pivotal role in our production team. Under moderate supervision, the Lead Electronics Technician ensures the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Lead Electronics Technician also displays keen attention to detail, monitors team progress and supports other teammates throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Leading the manufacturing and assembly of cables and wire harnesses, overseeing the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
  • Conducting thorough testing and function checks on completed assemblies to guarantee their reliability and functionality.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation by filling out travelers and tracking components' progress through the shop.
  • Utilizing a wide range of tools and equipment, including soldering iron, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, screwdriver, hand drill, Windows PC, tablets, digital multimeter, etc., with expertise and precision.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration by actively engaging with management, teammates, and other stakeholders to address challenges and find.

Required Qualifications

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of experience soldering and/or hand crimping
  • Previous leadership experience in a production setting, demonstrating familiarity with manufacturing processes and standards
  • Familiarity with analog and digital electronics
  • Familiarity using a microscope
  • Familiarity with test equipment
  • Color vision: Full color vision required
  • Familiarity with test equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001 Certifications
