Job Description

As the Vice President of Education, you will collaborate closely with our President & CEO to spearhead the development and implementation of educational programs benefiting the bleeding disorders community. Success in this role hinges on your positive demeanor, adeptness in listening and responding to community needs, and demonstration of servant leadership. You'll oversee multiple projects, maintain a strong work ethic, and exhibit excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Align the education team with HFA's mission and objectives.

Foster a robust education team through collaborative efforts.

Cultivate partnerships with member organizations to enhance community engagement and execute successful initiatives nationwide.

Coordinate programming topics for development by subject matter experts.

Manage the collection and reporting of metrics and data demonstrating positive outcomes.

Collaborate with the team to strategize and execute HFA programs and initiatives.

Supervise education team members and volunteers.

Facilitate coaching, mentoring, and training for education staff in coordination with leadership.

Encourage a culture of creativity and idea-sharing among staff and partners.

Continuously seek efficiencies and performance improvements within the team and processes.

Provide regular updates on projects and programs to stakeholders.

Support collaborative efforts with program partners to enhance our national presence.

Promote a positive HFA identity both internally and externally.

Ensure consistent, responsive, and effective communication internally and externally.

Key Results

Ensure educational offerings align with HFA's mission.

Lead national educational initiatives to meet or surpass goals.

Evaluate programs and drive ongoing improvement efforts.

Foster loyalty and trust within the community.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Seven to ten years of successful experience in a similar role.

Positive servant leadership attitude conducive to collaborative teamwork.

Excellent oral, written, and social media communication skills.

Previous Nonprofit Experience Preferred.

Proven ability to influence and drive change across diverse populations.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, project management, and negotiation skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to follow-through.

Additional Qualifications

Availability for some evenings, weekends, and occasional travel (four to five times a year).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows 7 and above.

Proficient in relevant systems and software.

Experience within the bleeding disorders community is advantageous.
