Job Summary

We are looking for a Vice President of Program Management that will report to the COO. This is a highly visible role that will be accountable to lead the program management department and to lead cross-functional program teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program management and drug development best practices from research through Phase 2 clinical studies. The candidate must be scientifically adept, have great communication skills, in depth knowledge of drug development, able to motivate cross-functional teams, and be an inspiring group leader. What You Can Expect

  • Lead the PM group as a role model and mentor
  • Establish best PM practices and tools that impact the company culture and performance
  • Create culture of high performing teams with clear accountabilities, robust scientific debate and respectful interactions that foster trust.
  • Advocate for PM group resources
  • Build relationships in the organization that foster collaboration, teamwork and achieving company objectives
  • Lead cross-functional programs
  • Build fully integrated timelines capturing all activities and resources needed to deliver individual program and corporate goals.
  • Monitor program progress and identify risks and opportunities to timeline, budget, or scope.
  • Identify clear program objectives, success criteria and recommend risk mitigation actions.
  • Drive program teams towards the delivery of project milestones on time, on budget, and within scope through utilization of project management tools.
  • Represent the team at decision meetings, company presentations and interactions with external parties such as Health Authorities or partners.

What You Bring

  • Advanced science degree required, PhD preferred
  • 12 years biotechnology or pharma experience, with at least 5 years specifically in program leadership/ management
  • Full knowledge of and experience in leading cross functional teams through successful regulatory filings
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams through early clinical studies (Phase I/II)
  • Experience in rare or ultra-rare disease preferred
  • Motivated individuals who want to roll up their sleeves and apply drug development knowledge and experience to develop gene-editing therapies
  • Looking for individuals who embrace taking accountability for team dynamics, planning and deliverables
