Operational Buyer - #1713107

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operational Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will manage and support operations by obtaining the goods and/or services required by the organization. This includes both indirect operations (such as office supplies, computers, travel, maintenance, machine parts, etc.) and direct operations (such as raw materials and services for manufacturing, production or construction, and products for retail).

salary: $40 - $45 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Procurement of Goods and Services:
• Source products and services needed for both direct and indirect operations.
• Ensure continuous supplier performance through negotiations to increase efficiency.
• Supplier Management:
• Select suppliers based on their ability to meet organizational needs.
• Challenge supplier performance through consistent evaluation and negotiations.
• Negotiations:
• Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure favorable conditions for the organization.
• Ensure contracts reflect the best interests of the company.
  

Qualifications

• Experience:
• Typically requires 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or a related field.
• Skills and Proficiency:
• Practical knowledge obtained through education and work experience.
• Ability to work independently with general supervision.
• Capability to handle difficult but typically not complex problems.
• May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
